As part of the Talent and Organizational Development team, you will play a critical role in helping business leaders select, develop, and retain top talent.  Whether you are 1 or 2 years removed from your Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, or you have a few years of experience in another field and want to apply your skills to a business environment, we’re looking for curious, early career professionals who want to take the next step in their career.  Bring your technical insights in advanced psychology to serve as a resource to the team and the firm.  Limited travel to other Plante Moran offices to support talent needs to staff and partners.

Senior consultants are expected to interpret psychometric data and translate insights into meaningful discussions that aid in the continual growth and development of the firm’s talent.  Consultants newly minted in advanced psychology can expect to fine tune their consulting skills and work alongside experienced consultants on internal projects and external client engagements.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support the firm as an internal consultant to Plante Moran’s practice groups and firm services
  • Partner with the human resources team and consult with the firm managers to assist with the assessment and selection of new staff / candidates
  • Work with internal teams and staff in career development feedback sessions and other internal organizational development projects
  • Additional related responsibilities and projects as assigned

The qualifications.

  • Master’s Degree, Ph.D. or Psy.D in Industrial/Organizational, Counseling, or Clinical psychology field is required
  • 0-3 years of experience applying psychology principles and concepts to support the professional and/or personal development of individuals and groups
  • Demonstrates a desire to grow, learn and develop consulting skills
  • Ability to develop interpersonal relationships and lead discussions
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in facilitation
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Writing skills to draft written summaries, PowerPoint slides and thought leadership
  • Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Metro Detroit area or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity
