Administrative Assistant - Detroit, MI

 Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide assistance to the Employee Benefits Consulting Leaders and staff by managing daily calendars, arrange travel, coordinate technology needed for internal and external meetings, webinars, and other technology needs
  • Assist staff in overseeing client billing, collections and meetings
  • Schedule and attend regular meetings with the leaders to plan for future projects, provide status updates and proactively communicates with staff 
  • Log and monitor activities for department practice development through CRM
  • Responsible for creating, proofing and maintaining web-based documents
  • Works closely with the Marketing department to create and update content on various social media sites
  • Draft and prepare client engagement letters
  • Process and track Form 5500 tax returns
  • Arrange trainings and log CPE credits as staff attend; maintain internal and external CPE requirements for Partners/managers

The qualifications.

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associates degree highly preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in an administrative or executive administrative role preferably for a professional services organization
  • Proven administrative, organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superior oral and written communication skills and a focus on client service, together with the ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative while maintaining high confidentiality
  • Solid technical proficiency including knowledge of MS Office applications (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills 
  • Qualified individuals must reside in or near the Metro Detroit area or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity.

This is an non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
