The graphic designer uses knowledge of current graphic design software and design principles to produce on-brand visual content for campaign content, collateral, presentations, reports, client deliverables, advertisements, video, and training material using print and digital applications and tools. Role involves a high level of collaboration within the Creative team and across the marketing department.  


Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Create custom cover pages, divider pages, and other prospect-specific imagery using brand-aligned photography and templates.
  • Create and customize existing infographics, visuals, and illustrations
  • Provide design and layout for deliverables for internal and external audiences; initial design and layout of the material or storyboard, as well as integrating edits and feedback from clients.
  • Uphold firm brand standards across all projects, including logo use, color palette, and imagery.
  • Effectively present design recommendations and solutions to marketing teams and practice stakeholders.
  • Grow design skills, both technical and design thinking skills, through training offered by the firm, self-education, and/or staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.
  • Quality review of drafts and final deliverables. 
  • Strive to understand the firm’s go-to-market strategy, services, and industries, and leverage that knowledge to enhance design solutions.
  • May prepare files for printing and provide prepress documentation for production; prepares files for upload -- properly formatted for uploading to website, social, or live in-person events.
  • Ensure projects meet Firm brand standards.
  • Ensure all projects have been edited and proofread.
  • Responsible for maintaining technology and technical skills and learning the equipment and software used within the team and the firm.
  • Responsible for managing projects and workload and understanding when to reach out for support.
  • May use peripheral computer equipment such as scanners, color printers, copiers, or other equipment necessary to complete a design request.
  • Adhere to departmental processes for naming and storage of files.
  • Other duties as assigned.


The qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, creative arts; or equivalent education, training or experience
  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and Adobe CC applications (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, etc.)
  • Attention to detail is essential; ability to review for keying and formatting errors
  • Understanding of the printing process
  • Knowledge of proofreaders' marks and a thorough knowledge of the rules of grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation required
  • Competency in page layout and typography is required
  • Professional services firm experience is a plus
  • Presentation of a portfolio is preferred
  • Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner with all levels of staff and meeting situations, also presenting ideas during meetings
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand the basics of client deliverables that are processed through the department
  • Takes ownership in job responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate timing/scheduling conflicts, and the need for help before it becomes a problem and impacts due dates.
  • Ability to read and carry out routine oral and written instructions independently
  • Ability to regularly prioritize, multi-task and occasionally work under time pressure
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • High creative ability
