As announced on June 22, 2018 – P&M Corporate Finance (PMCF) is pleased to announce the combination of Denver-based EKS&H Capital Advisors (EKSHCA) and PMCF. Bringing together these two- premier middle market investment banking firms creates a powerful national platform to better serve clients and expand industry coverage. The firms share similar cultures and both have holistic approaches to assisting clients with the planning and execution phases of sale, merger, acquisition, and capital raise transactions. Both firms also provide heavy senior level involvement in transactions and strive to be the client’s highly trusted M&A advisor.


PMCF provides geographic coverage of the United States from its offices in Chicago and Detroit and has completed hundreds of transactions throughout the country, but has been less active in the Western United States. EKSHCA brings a strong presence in the Rocky Mountain region and the Western United States with an office in Denver, Colorado and clients and contacts across the West. Following the combination, both firms will have better geographic coverage of the United States and globally through PMCF’s ownership and leadership in Corporate Finance International (CFI).


PMCF has dedicated advisory teams and deep industry expertise in plastics, packaging, aerospace & defense, industrial distribution, automotive, medical technology, consumer, retail and business & technology services. EKSHCA’s investment banking team has significant expertise in technology, food and beverage, construction and manufacturing. Combined, the two firms will have broader and deeper industry coverage that will both strengthen and complement each firm’s current capabilities.


The combination will be effective October 1, 2018.

The combined entity seeks an Associate for the Denver, Colorado office who is a very close fit to the following criteria:


Position Accountabilities:

  • Provides various analytical and data driven components for the development of M&A transactions. Specifically, the analyst's role focuses on financial modeling, industry and company research, some preparation of the selling document text and other transaction related documents.
  • Researching includes pursuing industries and/or companies to be used for prospective buyer’s lists, industry overviews, general knowledge, buying trends, and practice development. Information is obtained through various internal and external databases, Internet searches, and available publications. Analyzing obtained information for effective use in transaction process is an essential component in an Analyst’s job.
  • Developing and manipulating financial models and/or valuations for financing, structure, cash flow feasibility. Includes entering historical financial information, forecasting future periods and developing sound assumptions after checking the model for validity and correctness.
  • Writing assigned sections of selling document to include descriptive paragraphs detailing very specific attributes and pertinent information about the company. Under the direction of senior team members, this may include the creation of charts and other visuals, financial data, formatting and presentation of final document.
  • Additional written communication responsibilities may include some involvement in assembling, developing, and/or editing information requests, due diligence lists, confidentiality agreements, engagements letters, proposals and management presentations.
  • Verbal and personal communication may consist of contact with potential buyers, financial institutions, attorneys, internal P&M service groups, and clients. Discussion topics may include requests for information, telephone calls and faxes to companies on buyer's list, discussions of timelines and processes, status and updates and scheduling of meetings.

Required Skills:

·       Solid technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·       Efficient use of research databases

·       Business writing acumen to include proper grammar, style, and presentation

·       Effective management of multiple tasks within a defined timeline

·       Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, peers and other contacts

·       Thorough financial statement analysis skills

Education:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
